Al Maha, the luxurious desert hideaway near Dubai, has just opened the doors to theÊ ‘Jamilah Spa’, which will offer the resorts’ guests a combination of traditional spa treatments and Arabian style therapies.ÊThis new development is the latest part of a multi-million pound investment in the five-star boutique resort by the Emirates Group, which has also included the addition of ten Bedouin Suites and a full refurbishment of the existing suites including the expansion of the personal infinity pools.

Nestling amid palm trees and surrounded by cascading water features, the new health and beauty spa is designed in the Bedu style with a dramatic tented roof and traditional design features in keeping with the distinctly elegant and luxurious Arabic feel of the resort.

There are four treatment rooms, a Rasool and a hydro-therapy facility offering a vast range of extra-special relaxing and rejuvenating treatments to purify and pamper guests. Complete with steam room, sauna, plunge pools and jacuzzi, the spa also provides a well-equipped gymnasium, with food and beverage offering special menus and treats for the health conscious.

Al Maha has worked closely with the prestigious German cosmetics company, BABOR to create a range of products using traditional Arabian ingredients.Ê Al Maha’s signature ‘Timeless’ range is exclusive to the resort, blending Arabian frankincense with the soft oils of one of natures’ miracle fruits, the date, which is intrinsically linked to Arabian culture.
