Cathay Pacific Wins Top Customer Service Awards

Cathay Pacific Airways today announced it has won two major awards for customer service and lounge facilities. The airline was voted as having the word’s best lounge in the 2004 Skytrax survey. Cathay Pacific was also named “Best of the Best” in the Top Service Award in the Next Magazine readers’ poll. The Airline Lounge survey conducted by UK-based Skytrax Research attracted more than 1.4 million votes during a 10-month survey period. Not only did the airline take the top honour in the overall Best Lounge category it also got top ratings for both Best First Class Lounge and Best Business Class Lounge.

Voters were asked to consider a range of criteria including seating capacity, lounge decor and ambience, business facilities, washrooms, showers and leisure amenities, food and beverage selections, efficiency of staff and friendliness and attitude of lounge staff.

Next Magazine is one of Hong Kong’s most widely circulated weekly general interest magazines. It is the eighth consecutive year that the airline has won the Next award. Cathay Pacific also won the magazine’s Top Service Gold Award because the poll put the airline top in 20 categories.
