Internet users making an on-line hotel reservation with Active Hotels
will now receive a booking confirmation with the added option of renting a car with Avis.Ê Equally, a customer reserving a car on-line at www.avis.co.uk
can now link directly to the Active Hotels site to make a hotel reservation.
Matthew Greenwood, Partner Account Manager at Active Hotels said: “Working with Avis has added another dimension to the Active Hotels service, directly in line with consumer demand. Active Hotels now features over 6,500 properties in Europe, a number of which are in regional destinations. By working with Avis, a market leader in the car rental industry, we are able to offer our customers the option to book car hire, thus giving them more mobility during their stay.”
Another feature of this new agreement is the implementation of customer call centre promotion. Active Hotels will shortly be offering customers call transfers between its and Avis’ customer services departments.

In addition, a series of joint promotional campaigns have been recently launched in local and regional press in the UK, giving consumers the opportunity to win package holidays incorporating accommodation, car rental and flights.
