A Rendezvous at Resorts Atlantic City

Resorts Atlantic City today
announced “Rendezvous” as the name of its new $125 million luxury hotel
tower. Set to be unveiled July 4 weekend with a grand opening spectacular
that begins July 2, the Rendezvous Tower was designed by Bergman & Walls,
P.C. of Las Vegas and features 357 of the largest guest rooms in Atlantic
City, as well as 42 lush suites.
The Rendezvous Tower enhances Resorts’ existing decor, a style that
embraces the class, sophistication and bold art deco elegance of Atlantic
City’s heritage. The exterior features brilliant lighting from golden art
deco torchieres that create a glowing extension to the Atlantic City
skyline and can be seen as visitors first enter the area. As guests
arrive, they’ll enter a grand porte-cochere entrance leading to a Grand
Lobby connecting both towers. Two large, hand-painted murals will be a
focal point of the new 4,371- square-foot Grand Lobby, as will a central
dome and meeting place.

Resorts will mark the grand opening celebration with a ribbon cutting and
dedication ceremony on July 2, followed by a gravity-defying event.
Project Bandaloop, never before seen in the New Jersey area, will “dance”
down the face of the new Rendezvous Tower. The initial performance is set
for July 2 at 10:00 a.m., with choreographed dance, light and music shows
performed throughout the holiday weekend.

With the completion of the new luxury hotel tower, Resorts will be adding
approximately 14,000 square feet of additional gaming space for a total of
more than 100,000 square feet of thrilling casino action. More than 800
new state-of-the-art slot machines, all offering Express Cash(TM), and 10
gaming tables will also be added. Along with the new casino area, Resorts
is introducing an entirely new chip bankroll this summer, the first
completely new bankroll since it opened its doors 26 years ago.

“We are extremely excited about this new chapter in both Resorts’ and
Atlantic City’s history,” said Audrey Oswell, president and CEO, Resorts
Atlantic City. “The new Rendezvous hotel tower and other leisure and
entertainment enhancements represent our commitment to both our core
gaming business and to providing a full entertainment experience. The
luxury and style of the new tower, along with the added services and
amenities, will truly help redefine the Atlantic City experience for
long-time patrons and newcomers alike.”

Although the Rendezvous Hotel Tower officially opens July 2, Resorts is
getting a head start on the summer with a host of new entertainment,
service and dining options starting Memorial Day Weekend.
