Best Western and Mastercard Team Up

Best Western and MasterCard have joined
forces to offer a free night stay to members of the hotel chain’s Gold
Crown Club International loyalty program this summer.

Between May 15 and July 15, 2004, Gold Crown Club International members
residing in Canada, the U.S. and the Caribbean can now earn one
complimentary night after two qualifying stays at any Best Western hotel
in the world where they use MasterCard to pay for their stays.

“Best Western is pleased to partner with MasterCard once again in
extending this special offer to our Gold Crown Club International
members,” said David Kong, senior vice president of marketing and
development. “As a participant in our frequent guest club, customers can
benefit from one of the industry’s best international rewards programs.”

Guests must register online at http://www.goldcrownclub.com/ or call
1-800-237-8483 and mention offer code MC2X, to be eligible. Guests who are
not already Gold Crown Club International members can enroll in the
program when registering for the offer.

The offer is in the form of a Global Free Night Award, valued at 800 Gold
Crown Club International points, and is limited to one per person.
Qualified guests will receive a voucher by mail for their free night stay,
which is valid for six months upon issue and redeemable at hundreds of
Best Western hotels worldwide.

Launched in 1988, Best Western’s loyalty program is one of the industry’s
few truly international travel clubs. Members across the globe can earn
points towards an extensive array of product and service awards at Best
Western hotels throughout North, Central and South America, Europe, Asia,
Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. In 2003, Gold Crown Club
International was voted Inside Flyer magazine’s loyalty “Program to Watch.”
