New Appointment for Orbitz

today announced that Mary A.
Oleksiuk, 42, has been named to the position of vice president, human
resources. Oleksiuk is responsible for employee recruitment, development and retention for the fast-growing company.

“Orbitz has a tremendous talent pool,” said Oleksiuk. “My top priority is
to develop world-class programs to help employees build on their strengths
and enable Orbitz to achieve its goals.”

Before joining Orbitz, Oleksiuk was senior vice president, human
resources, communications and learning for Solucient, LLC, a healthcare
information company. Her experience includes 17 years in a variety of
human resources and technical positions for Allied Signal Inc. and
Honeywell Inc. As director of human resources for the technology and
engineering functions, she helped manage the integration of the two
companies’ technology staffs after AlliedSignal merged with Honeywell in
1999. Oleksiuk received her bachelor’s degrees in computer science and
biology in 1983 from Wayne State University, Detroit, and her master’s
degree in biology and genetics in 1985 from the University of Illinois at
Chicago. She is a certified green belt in “Six Sigma,” a program which
companies adopt in order to minimize errors and maximize quality.
