Coco Beach Golf & Country Club is officially open
Willowbend Golf Management announced on Friday that the golf course at Coco Beach Golf & Country Club in Rio Grande is officially open.“The first 18 holes are ready to play and we couldn’t be more excited to share them with the guests of Paradisus Puerto Rico and the general public. In fact, we’re offering special introductory rates to welcome and encourage players to our facility,” said Jorge L. Diaz, Executive Vice President of Betteroads Asphalt Corporation.
Players can enjoy the first 18 holes within the 36-hole design. The special introductory 18-hole guest fee is $50 Monday through Thursday and US$65 Friday through Sunday and Holidays. Guest fee includes: greens & car fees, divot repair tool, ball marker & tees. The special introductory fee is valid through May 31, 2004.
“From the initial design concept it has been a pleasure to work with Tom Kite on this spectacular project. Once this course reaches maturity, this will undoubtedly be a superlative world-class golf facility,” said Bruce Besse, Jr., President of Willowbend Golf & Land Design, who has been collaborating on the design with PGA TOUR Professional Tom Kite.
The remaining 18 holes are scheduled for completion later this year. Upon completion, Coco Beach will offer four breathtaking and diverse golf courses - golf amid the mountains, the ocean, the lakes and the wetlands - in one golf experience. Golf course operations will begin in temporary quarters at the main entrance until the Clubhouse is completed in the Fall of 2004.
