St. Kitts announces new service from Pan Am

The Hon. G. A. Dwyer Astaphan, Minister of Tourism, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, yesterday announced that Pam Am will begin scheduled service to St. Kitts (SKB) from San Juan (SJU) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) on Wednesday, June 2, 2004. This represents the return of Pan Am to St. Kitts, which was last served by the original Pan American World Airways in May 1986.
“We are thrilled to welcome Pan Am back to our beautiful island,” said Minister Astaphan. “This is an important step in augmenting our current airlift and opening new markets to St. Kitts that will help us to increase our visitor numbers.”

St. Kitts is served from the U.S. by US Airways non-stop from Philadelphia and Charlotte and by American Airlines/American Eagle via San Juan as well as by Windward Island Airways and LIAT via connections over the neighboring islands of St. Maarten and Antigua.
