New York City Welcomes a Taste of Authentic New Zealand

The Millennium UN Plaza Hotel, the New Zealand Consulate General, New
Zealand Trade & Enterprise and the Asia Society, in conjunction with the
Asia Society’s special exhibition, “Paradise Now? Contemporary Art from
the Pacific,” are working together to bring a slice of “Kiwi” to the Big
Apple. From April 6, 2004 - May 6, 2004, the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel’s
Ambassador Grill Restaurant will host its first ever New Zealand Food
Festival. Native New Zealander Chef Andrew Brown, executive chef at the Millennium
Hotel in Christchurch, New Zealand, together with Alex Hing, sous chef of
the Ambassador Grill, will tantalize food connoisseurs with a special
lunch and dinner menu made with the finest and freshest New Zealand
ingredients.

The New Zealand menu features lamb, venison, seafood and fruits and
vegetables indigenous to the lush South Pacific Island. Diners can enjoy
these fresh ingredients seasoned with exotic Kiwi flavors such as Piko
Piko ferns, Kelp pepper and Manuka salt. Featured entrees will include
Rare Venison Carpaccio, Smoked Hapuka, Pan-fried Snapper, Roast Pork
Fillet and Duo of Lamb.

Additional highlights will include items such as the Tomato and Kawakawa
Sorbet, Warm Kumara and Lemon Wood Steamed Pudding, Celebration of the
Pavlova, and Manuka Honey and Saffron Pannacotta. Fine New Zealand wines,
including Tohu Marlborough Pinot Noir 2002, Tohu Marlborough Chardonnay
2002, and Tohu Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2002, will also be available
during the Food Festival.

The menu will include a two-course prix-fixe lunch for $25.00 (additional
$8.00 for a choice of appetizer or dessert) and a four-course prix-fixe
dinner for $38.00, or $56.00 with a tasting of three wines. Restaurant
hours for lunch are from 12:00-2:30PM and dinner from 5:00-10:30PM.
