Orbitz Appoints Denise K. Fletcher to its Board of Directors

has announced that Denise K. Fletcher, 55, has been appointed to its board of directors. As an independent director, Fletcher will chair the board’s audit committee. Orbitz now has its full complement of nine directors on its board.

Fletcher has been on the board of Unisys Corp. since 2001 and is a member of its audit committee and nominating and corporate governance committee. From 2000 to 2003, Fletcher was executive vice president and chief financial officer of MasterCard, a global payment solutions company, where she was responsible for finance, planning, internal audit, new markets, investments and procurement. From 1996 to 2000, Fletcher was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Bowne and Co., the world’s largest financial printer and a document management and software localization company. Earlier, Fletcher was corporate treasurer of the New York Times Co.

Fletcher was named in “Women at the Top” by Industry Week, “Women Ready to Run Corporate America” by Working Woman and “Women Leaders in the Financial Industry” by Wow! Facts 2003. She has served on the boards of Girl Scouts USA, YWCA of New York City and the Alumni Executive Council of the Kennedy School at Harvard. She is a member of Financial Executives International. Fletcher was elected to the Academy of Women Achievers, the Business Leadership Council and the Women’s Forum. Her work has been written up in publications that include the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes and Institutional Investor.

Fletcher graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wellesley College and received her master’s degree from Harvard University.
