Thomas Cook Announces Deal with Nedstat

Nedstat today announced a deal with Thomas Cook to overhaul its online reporting strategy. Nedstat will provide the operator with complete information about its customers’ online buying behaviour, improving both customer service and return on investment. Using its flagship analysis package, Sitestat, Nedstat will monitor activity across four of Thomas Cook’s leading websites.

Nedstat is providing Thomas Cook with web reporting technology to show exactly how customers use its multiple sites, streamlining online operations and making them more accountable and cost-effective. Thomas Cook UK is joining its European counterparts in installing Nedstat’s technology, which has already been working successfully on its German website.

Mike Ramsden, Web Development Manager at Thomas Cook, commented: “We had used web analysis software across each of our sites but they only provided us with basic web logs. This was far too simplistic and wasn’t providing meaningful information about customers’ buying behaviour for us to make necessary changes to web content.

Tsjerk Kooistra, General Manager of Nedstat UK, added: “With more customers than ever before buying their holidays online, it’s essential that travel operators are able to keep ahead of buying trends. Sitestat offers the online visibility they need to ensure their campaigns are cost-effective and provide real-time customer data to give tangible return on investment.”

Sitestat provides real-time, tailored reports about how our sites are working - which promotions are popular and where customers are leaving the site. We’re now able to track the whole of our customers’ online journey and this information is vital to our business planning.”
