GlobalPass Announces New Online Loyalty Program

GlobalPass today announced that customers who purchase tickets through the GlobalPass Web site, located at www.globalpass.com, can now earn and redeem miles for travel on nearly 500 airlines.
Powered by the Amadeus system, GlobalPass’ easy-to-use booking engine enables customers to earn four miles for every dollar they spend on airline tickets - at the time of purchase, not at the time of travel - and to redeem miles for airline tickets at any time - without the capacity control restrictions and limited awards inventories of traditional frequent-flier programs. GlobalPass’ mileage-redemption opportunities for travel on almost all of the world’s airlines are based on ticket prices and start at 40,000 miles for a ticket valued at $295

“We’ve created an independent, mileage-based program that enables consumers to maximize the benefits they can derive from their frequent use of airlines, rental-car companies, hotel chains, credit-card companies, online retailers and other service providers, ” said Guy Booth, president and CEO of GlobalPass. “Our program provides consumers with opportunities to legitimately ‘triple dip’ when earning miles. For example, a GlobalPass customer can earn miles three different ways for any given transaction. A customer can earn miles when purchasing a ticket through the GlobalPass Web site, when using a mileage-earning credit card to purchase the ticket and when flying on an airline for which a customer is a member of the frequent flier program. In addition to earning miles when purchasing airline tickets through the GlobalPass Web site, customers can earn miles when they fly on KLM, Aeropostal, Alianza Summa, Southern Winds or Grupo TACA; rent a vehicle from Avis Rent a Car or Thrifty Car Rental; stay at Hilton, Embassy Suites or InterContinental hotels; and shop at more than 300 online merchants, including BarnesandNoble.com, eToys.com and TheSportsAuthority.com.
