Three Marriott Spas were ranked “world’s best” by the readers of Conde
Nast Traveller magazine. With a 98 percent satisfaction rating, The
Mandara Spa of the JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa in Thailand was named
the “Best Hotel Spa in Asia,” out of 100 spas recognized, and second among
the “World’s Top 25.” The Dome Retreat of the five-star Brisbane Marriott
Hotel in Australia and The Spa at the Renaissance London Chancery Court
were included among the top ten in the Urban Day Spa Overseas and U.K.
categories, respectively.
Last November, magazine readers were asked to nominate their favorite spas
in four categories—Urban Day Spa, Hotel Spa, Spa Retreat, and Medical
or Thermal Spas. Each category was rated according to service,
accommodations, amenities, body treatments, decor, cuisine and ambiance.

Results were announced during the first annual “Readers’ Spa Awards”
ceremony in London and featured in the March issue. A complete listing of
