The Woodlake Market is making a grand entrance into the upscale wine market with the completion of the newly built Wine Library at Woodlake Market.
Built inside the Atrium Café, The Wine Library is an additional room within the market. It will increase the already abundant selection of wines and provide a small seating area complete with information on selecting wines and connoisseur literature. The Wine Library will also be available for private wine parties and small party wine tasting.

“It is time we made our debut as a fine wine establishment,” said Ken Yurk, manager Woodlake Market. “It is very rare in the grocery industry to provide wines of such high caliber and distinction as we do, our hope is that The Wine Library will take us to the forefront of the wine establishment industry in our area. With a full-time wine specialist on staff, our selection of wines of all integrity and our new addition, we will be able to accommodate requests and customers of all kinds.”

Special features of The Wine Library will include a cruvinet system, allowing customers to taste and purchase wine by the glass as well as a wine well, an innovative system designed to chill a bottle of wine within minutes.

“If a customer requests a wine that isn`t in stock, we will find it,” says Frank VonDerPuetten, wine specialist for Woodlake Market. “Our goal is to have every wine customer leave our store thrilled to have found their perfect bottle of wine, whether it be a 1964 vintage or an affordable table choice.”

Helping to introduce the new Wine Library will be the Woodlake Market Wine Show on Saturday April 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. The Show, held in the Woodlake Market Atrium Café, will showcase fifteen highly-allocated wines including Opus, Almaviv 1998 and Paul Jaboulet Hermitage “La Chapelle” 1999. Each wine will be revealed to the show guests and described by its distinctive region and refinement. Woodlake Market wine specialist Frank Von Der Puetten will be available to answer questions, offer knowledgeable counsel and also assist with menu ideas to accompany favorite vintages. Select wine samples, light hors d`ouevres and live music will enhance the afternoon.
