E-mail Inflight On Air Canada

Tenzing Communications the Seattle-based global communications provider, has started a Beta trial of their airborne email and Internet system on select Air Canada aircraft, marking the first passenger trial of in-flight email and “Best of Web” browsing capabilities on a commercial airline.
The Tenzing Global service is currently offered to passengers on a free trial basis on board five Air Canada B767 aircraft flying routes within North America. Travellers will access the Tenzing system through Bell Mobility`s existing on-board communication system and will be able to use their own laptop, POP3 e-mail account and browser.
They can receive the necessary software through the Air Canada Web site. Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific will also deploy this system soon.
