British tourist killed in Bangladesh
A British woman has been killed in Bangladesh whilst on holiday with her husband and son, according to reports.
Rehana Begum, 43, a British national, died in Sunamganj on Friday, the Foreign Office has confirmed. The incident was described by her family as a ‘violent robbery’.
An FCO spokesman said: “We are aware of the death of a British national, Rehana Begum, in Sunamganj, Bangladesh on 2 August. We are providing consular assistance to her family at this difficult time.”
