British Motor Museum and Petrol & Pride grow inclusive automotive event

The British Motor Museum has been confirmed as the host venue for Petrol & Pride 2026, as this inclusive automotive event returns to Gaydon with a larger format, broader programme and growing support from across the events sector.

Petrol & Pride is a special motoring gathering created for members, friends and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community which provides a platform for everyone to show off their pride in their wheels and themselves.

Taking place on Sunday 26 July 2026, Petrol & Pride will bring together members, friends and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community for a full-day celebration of cars, motorcycles, trucks, automotive culture and the people behind them.

Now in its second year, the event has evolved from an automotive industry and DEI/Pride network gathering into a larger public-facing event concept, created to celebrate inclusion and community while also demonstrating the role live events can play in bringing people, brands and common interest together.

Delivered in partnership between Petrol & Pride and the British Motor Museum, with support from Goose Live Events as the event organiser, the event will make use of the Museum’s collection, grounds and visitor facilities. Plans include vehicle displays, music, awards, a Pride “flag” formed of a colourful rainbow of display cars and access to the Museum itself, giving event-goers the opportunity to experience the wider story of British motoring as part of their day.

Any car, motorcycle, truck, ice cream van is welcome, whatever its age, brand, value, condition.  This is an automotive inclusive event.  It is designed to celebrate the diversity of the people who love vehicles, work with vehicles and gather around them, while creating a safe, welcoming and professionally delivered event experience.

For meetings and events professionals, Petrol & Pride highlights how the right venue partnership can help an idea grow from a values-led industry gathering into a fully realised live event. The British Motor Museum provides the operational foundations needed for automotive events, including extensive outdoor space, vehicle access, hard standing areas, onsite support and a central location just minutes from junction 12 of the M40.

The collaboration also reflects a wider opportunity for the events industry to support inclusive, purpose-led event concepts with practical expertise, services, sponsorship and partnership. As Petrol & Pride continues to grow, the organisers are inviting event-sector businesses that share its values to explore ways they can support the event and help build it into a long-term platform for inclusion, visibility and community within automotive culture.

Toby Batchelor, Head of Commerce at the British Motor Museum, said: “Petrol & Pride is a brilliant example of how the British Motor Museum can help organisers turn a strong idea into a fully realised event experience. It is rooted in motoring, but it is also about people, belonging and shared passion. From an event delivery perspective, it showcases exactly the strengths we can offer, including space, access, operational support, heritage and a setting that gives the whole experience greater meaning.”

“We are also pleased to see the event sector starting to gather around Petrol & Pride. Events like this are built through collaboration, and we hope more partners will see the opportunity to support an initiative that combines inclusive values with a distinctive, engaging and highly relevant live event format.”

Wayne Bruce, Founder of Petrol & Pride, said: “The British Motor Museum gives Petrol & Pride the perfect home. As organisers, we needed more than a field full of vehicles. We needed a venue that understood motoring culture, could support the practical delivery of an outdoor event and could help us create a day where every attendee feels welcome. The Museum team has embraced that vision, and this year’s move to a larger, full-day format shows how much potential there is in bringing the right event idea together with the right venue.”

“We are also grateful to Goose Live Events for supporting us as our event partner at this stage of the journey. Their expertise in automotive and motoring event design and delivery is helping us shape Petrol & Pride in the right way as we grow, and we would love to hear from other event-sector businesses that want to contribute, whether through sponsorship, production support, services, creativity or simply a shared commitment to inclusion.”

Sam Trevenna, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Goose Live Events, said: “Petrol & Pride has all the ingredients of a really powerful live event: a clear purpose, a passionate community, a distinctive venue and a format that can grow.”

“Our role as event partner is to support that development and help create an event that is both welcoming for attendees and professionally robust behind the scenes. It is a great example of how the events industry can bring its skills to an initiative with real heart and long-term potential. We are proud to be a part of it”

All proceeds from Petrol & Pride 2026 will support the work of the British Motor Museum and an LGBTQ+ charity to be announced. The event takes place from 10:00 to 17:00 on Sunday 26 July 2026 at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire.
