Aeroflot has been named the strongest brand in Russia and the strongest airline brand globally by Brand Finance, a leading independent brand valuation consultancy.
Brand Finance noted that the Russian flag-carrier is one of the few companies globally to strengthen its position despite the pandemic.
“Aeroflot is perceived globally as a symbol and the face of Russia,” Aeroflot chief executive, Vitaly Saveliev said.
“This achievement once again illustrates that leading industry experts and passengers alike know Aeroflot, trust us and believe that the airline can overcome any challenges, recover from crises and achieve new goals.”
Aeroflot scored a very strong 92.1 out of a possible 100 on the Brand Strength Index compiled by Brand Finance.
This is equivalent to the highest ААА+ rating.
“At the beginning of the year Aeroflot was on track to achieve its Strategy 2023 goals,” Brand Finance chief executive David Haigh added.
“There is no doubt that Aeroflot will successfully use its long-established brand and strong reputation to maintain its market share and overcome the challenges posed by Covid-19.”
The Russian flag-carrier will be a key partner for the World Travel Awards Grand Final, which is scheduled to take place in Moscow on November 27th.
