Bollywood star Katrina Kaif visits Dubai to support Etihad

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif has paid a visit to Dubai this weekend to show her support for the world’s leading airline, Etihad Airways.

Of her role as brand ambassador of the UAE flag carrier, Kaif said: “When you are flying with Etihad, not only are you impressed by the world class luxury of the airline, but you also experience the unique hospitality of modern Arabia. I am honoured to work with Etihad because I am continually impressed by the superior product and high standards of service.

“I am thrilled to hear that Etihad will be bringing its world-renowned service to exciting new destinations, as well as making its product more accessible than ever here in the UAE.”

Peter Baumgartner, Chief Commercial Officer of Etihad Airways, said: “This is an exciting time for us at Etihad as we build our brand and expand our commercial offerings. Ms Kaif demonstrates a poise and elegance that make her a perfect fit for us. She is recognized worldwide for her talent and beauty, a brand ambassador that we can be proud of and an excellent way to bring attention to our growing brand.”

Kaif met with Etihad business partners to discuss her own experiences with the UAE’s national airline and thank them for their loyalty both to her as a movie star as well as in her capacity as the airline’s brand ambassador.

The Bollywood star also made an appearance at Dubai Marina Mall, where she spoke to fans about Etihad’s upcoming product and service innovations and launches, such as services to the Republic of Seychelles and the Republic of the Maldives from November, as well as increased ground transport services offered by the airline between Abu Dhabi International Airport and Dubai.

From November 2, Etihad, voted “World’s Leading Airline” by World Travel Awards will operate four return services per week from its home base in Abu Dhabi to Seychelles International Airport in Mahé.

Etihad’s services between Abu Dhabi and Malé International Airport will also be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft, configured with two cabins and offering 1,904 seats each week.

The two new routes will bring Etihad’s network to a total of 68 destinations worldwide.

In addition to the new routes abroad, Etihad has launched a new service stop for its complimentary luxury coach service, Etihad Express, at the Dubai Marina Mall. The Dubai Marina Mall location, as well as the current stop at Chelsea Towers on Sheikh Zayed Road, will offer convenient, complimentary ground transport for Etihad passengers between Dubai and Abu Dhabi International Airport.
