Ayana Resort prepares anniversary celebrations

Champagne corks are popping at the AYANA Resort and Spa Bali, as the top destination celebrates its successful rebranding by offering guests a special Anniversary Package.

Celebrations to mark the resort’s first anniversary are scheduled for April 1st 2010, with guests invited to enjoy the occasion from just $239 per night. The price allows guests to experience new features - including the Rock Bar and renovated Padi restaurant – as well as original highlights such as the Aquatonic Seawater Therapy Pool.

Stays are available between March 1st and June 15th, and also includes a signature AYANA gift for every guest upon check-in.

“The 1st Anniversary promotion reflects the celebratory atmosphere at AYANA as we approach this landmark occasion,” explained general manager Charles de Foucault.

Formerly the Ritz-Carlton Bali, AYANA rebranded the resort in 2009 and has subsequently claimed a host of top awards. Chief among them was recognition as the World’s Leading Luxury Resort at the 2009 World Travel Awards (WTA).

“The accolades don’t only reflect the upgrade in our facilities, but also the highest level of service from our staff, whose warm hospitality and friendly nature makes AYANA a home away from home for our guests,” added Mr de Foucault.

Recent enhancements include the new Rock Bar, located on natural rocks abutting the ocean, and the renovation of the Padi and Damar Terrace restaurants and AYANA Ballroom.

The 77-hectare property retained the vast majority of its 950 staff following the rebranding – which attracted millions of dollars worth of investment - and selected West Paces Hotel Group led by Horst Schulze, former president and founder of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, to provide management expertise.

Mr de Foucault also brings over 30 years know-how to the property, as well as experience of 17 luxury Ritz properties.
