Boutique hotel group Malmaison Hotel du Vin has revealed that the famous Avon Gorge Hotel is set to be unveiled as The Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin from spring 2018.

A major investment programme is currently underway to restore the historic property to its former glory, with the first stage, including the newly styled bedrooms now complete.

Working closely with interior designers, feature walls have been decorated with gorgeous deep teals and navies, or adorned with beautifully intricate wallpaper.

Stylish wooden furniture and splashes of vibrant contrasting colour have been combined with artwork that reflects the quirky British humour to give the rooms a contemporary yet classic feel.

With plans to officially launch The Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin in spring 2018, the group has appointed Josie Simcox as general manager.

Having spent a number of years as general manager at Malmaison, most recently in London, Simcox has a proven track record of delivering first class hospitality, food and beverage, and has been charged with taking the hotel into the next phase of its history.
