Avis Car Rental today announced that Avis Preferred® Select & Go, the Company’s vehicle selection service, is now available at 25 airport locations in the United States.  “We are committed to enhancing the customer experience as a means to accelerate growth,” said Gina Bruzzichesi, senior vice president, customer experience, Avis Budget Group. “We’re pleased to deliver on this strategic initiative by introducing Select & Go service at the nation’s top airport locations. Avis Preferred members will enjoy the freedom to select the vehicle that’s perfect for them.”

With Select & Go, Avis Preferred members can (1) keep and drive away in their pre-assigned rental vehicle; (2) exchange their car, at no additional charge, by selecting another one from the designated area; or (3) upgrade their vehicle for an additional charge by choosing a specialty car or SUV from the designated area. Then, customers simply drive their selected vehicle to the exit gate, present a valid driver’s license to the Avis representative and the rental check-out process is completed.

Avis Preferred Select & Go is now available at airport locations in Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Chicago (O’Hare), Dallas (DFW), Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Houston (Bush Intercontinental and Hobby), Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Seattle, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose and St. Louis. Avis Preferred Select & Go will be available at roughly 50 airport locations in the United States and Canada by the end of 2012.
