Avis announced that it is adding BMW 5 Series sedans to its car rental fleet. These BMWs will be available for rent at select rental locations across the United States beginning this month.

Described by Car and Driver as “luxurious, stylish and fantastic to drive,” the new BMW 5 Series vehicles join a collection of premium vehicles in Avis’ worldwide fleet that helped Avis win recognition as the “World’s Leading Luxury Car Hire” at the recent World Travel Awards, chosen by more than 200,000 travel professionals in 160 countries.

“Our customers told us they wanted an even broader range of high-end cars, and we have responded by further diversifying our fleet,” said Jeannine Haas, chief marketing officer for Avis Budget Group, parent company of Avis. “We were happy to add the BMW 3 Series to our Avis ‘Cool Cars’ rental fleet in the U.S. last year, and our experience with BMWs in both the United States and Europe tells us that the 5 Series will be extremely popular with our customers.”
