Avianca celebrates 20 years of continuous service in Tumaco

Completing two decades of continuous service to the ‘Pearl of the Pacific’, Tumaco, Avianca has reaffirmed its commitment to the development of this important region.

“At Avianca we proudly celebrate this anniversary.

“There have been 20 years of work to build connectivity at this port in the Colombian Pacific, in which we have had the opportunity to participate in hundreds of initiatives to boost economic and social progress - both for residents and those who come looking for options to expand its business or tourism.

“This fills us with satisfaction and encourages us to continue working towards improvements in our services,” Avianca president, Fabio Villegas Ramirez.

After starting operations in June 1995 with four weekly flights and eight employees, Avianca now operates 28 weekly flights on the Tumaco-Cali-Tumaco route.

This means around 2,000 weekly seats are available in modern ATR 72-600 aircraft with capacity for 68 passengers.

Tumaco Avianca now has fifty ground staff trained to effectively serve the needs of customers.

#Along with the expansion of its offer, and aware of the economic dynamics of this important port, Avianca has ordered outlets at strategic locations in the city, one at the airport Florida, and another in Caldas Street, next to City Hall, where travellers can access services information, buying tickets, booking and delivery of goods and documents quickly.
