Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has announced its expansion in the UAE with the launch of its first property in the emirate of Dubai.

The Anantara Dubai Palm Jumeirah Resort & Spa on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah will open in September 2013.

The Hotel Company has partnered with Seven Tides for the venture.

It will also feature 12 beach villas, 18 over water villas and three highly exclusive royal beach villas.

Other facilities include a private beach, three natural lagoons, water sports, a shoreline infinity pool, an Anantara Spa with 12 treatment rooms, a fitness studio and two tennis courts.

A ballroom is on offer for business groups that can accommodate 300 people and the private beach for events and weddings.

William Heinecke, chairman of Anantara-owner Minor International, said: “The new resort strengthens our footprint in UAE and I am confident it will greatly contribute to our success.”
