American Airlines completes extensive renovations to Admirals Club Lounge

American Airlines today announced the completion of extensive renovations to the Admirals Club lounge at Logan International Airport in Boston. The upgraded club’s enhanced amenities and refurbished décor make the lounge a state-of-the-art reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the busy airport terminal.

“The newly-updated Boston Admirals Club features a wide array of amenities essential to serving the needs of our customers,” said Nancy Knipp, American’s President – Admirals Club. “We believe our investment in these new, enhanced surroundings, coupled with Admirals Club hospitality and updated technology, will provide our customers with an unparalleled travel experience.”

Located in Terminal B near Gate 36, the 10,000-square-foot space boasts a bright and modern feel, while remaining comfortable and inviting. The enhanced floor plan, designed to create a spacious, open atmosphere, offers unique seating for 214 guests with an abundance of oversized leather chairs and a timeless palate of light woods, natural stones, leathers, and rich fabrics.

The cyber café offers four HP TouchSmart PCs with high-speed Internet access. HP TouchSmart PCs boast built-for-touch applications that allow users to experience music, photos, games and video, and more in a visually engaging manner beyond what a mouse or keyboard can do. In addition, the club’s global printing solution, powered by PrinterOn, allows guests to submit print jobs via e-mail or Web page uploads from any location and retrieve them in the lounge. The new facility boasts additional up-to-date amenities such as flat panel televisions; spa-like shower facilities with private showers, complete with towels, shampoo, body gels and blow-dryers, as well as shower caps and razors upon request; a children’s room with a flat panel TV, computers and age-appropriate programming; complimentary coffee, tea, soft drinks, juices and a variety of snacks; delicious fare ranging from seasonal salads, hot and savory soups, fresh sandwiches and wraps, small bites for a quick snack, specialized coffee drinks and dessert items for purchase through the club’s food and beverage program, Amora™; and the best in premium services, including personal assistance with reservations, seat selection, upgrades and boarding passes.
