Steinke takes up leadership of Aleenta Resort & Spa Phuket

Alaryn Hotel Group has appointed Daniel Amadeus Steinke as general manager of Aleenta Resort & Spa Phuket and of the brand new Akyra Beach Club Phuket.

Steinke, a Swiss national, graduated with an executive MBA with Reims Management School and renowned hospitality school École Hotelier de Lausanne, Switzerland.

With over 25 years in the hospitality industry he comes to AHG with an abundance of world-class experience.

He has worked with a number of hotels including the Shangri-La, Mandarin Oriental, Conrad, Mövenpick, Kempinski, and InterContinental hotels and most recently with Dulac Hotels Moscow/Zurich.

Steinke will oversee the management and operations of both properties, bringing his invaluable expertise and broad international experience to each resort, helping AHG to further grow and develop as one of the leading hotels groups.

Of his appointment, Steinke commented: “Having worked in the corporate offices for the last few years, I must say I am thrilled to get back to the frontline as general manager.

“Although it is a substantial change geographically from Moscow to Thailand, I was sold by Khun Anchalika’s passion and belief in operations and getting the basics right.

“All my past experiences have well equipped me to take the helm on AHG’s two Phuket-Phang Nga properties, and I am ready to hit the beach running.”

In December 2016, the Akyra Beach Club Phuket opened as a sophisticated new oceanside destination on spectacular Natai beach in Phang-Nga province, just 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport.

Situated on Thailand’s sunset facing shore with inspirational Andaman seascape views, the resort is but a stroll along the beach from its well established elegant sister property, Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa, and complements the barefoot luxury offerings next door.
