India’s premier national airline Air India celebrated 65 glorious years of its operations from India to the UK on the 9th of June 2013 at a special gala reception at the prestigious The Montcalm Hotel in Central London. The event also coincided with the official launch of Air India’s new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft into the key United Kingdom travel market.

The high-profile event saw in attendance Shri Ajit Singh, the Minister for Civil Aviation, Government of India, and top officials from Air India, as well as UK VIPs, politicians, dignitaries and foreign and UK press.

After a successful phase in India, the new, state-of-the-art AI Boeing 787 Dreamliner has already launched in the strategic hub of the United Kingdom, ensuring that Indo-British trade and tourism links will be enhanced and developed further.
