ACTE Asia Education Conference announces final keynote speaker

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) announced today the fourth and final keynote presenter for the 2012 ACTE Asia Education Conference, an education and networking event focused on advancing the industry by identifying new and innovative approaches to managed travel, taking place 15-16 August, at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

Following the announcements of keynote presenters Mr. Hino Lam, Head, Transportation Team, Goldman Sachs Investment Research, Mr. Derek Sadubin, Chief Operating Officer of CAPA – Centre for Aviation, a Sydney-based global aviation think tank, and Ms. Lynne Barry, Director of Human Resources, Asia Pacific Accenture, ACTE is pleased to announce Mr. Edvarcl Heng, Head of Social Media, MediaCom ASEAN.

Mr. Heng’s keynote presentation is titled, “The Art of Science & Social Media,” and will focus on social media and gamification.  He will weed through the technical aspects of bites, bytes and the big, bad Web to show what it takes to survive in a constantly changing world dominated by social media.

“Mr. Heng will be able to speak to the evolution and importance of social media in the Business Travel industry, while giving insight into the future role social media will continue to play in influencing traveler behavior,” said ACTE Executive Director Ron DiLeo.

In his current role with MediaCom ASEAN, Mr. Heng leads the social teams for P&G ASEAN, Kellogg JP/KR and Dell South Asia, where he innovated for brands such as Dell, Gillette, Olympics, Pampers, Pringles, Olay, Head & Shoulders and Pantene.  Additionally, he is working on two pre-seed digital startups he co-founded.  Mr. Heng is an evangelist for social media and gamification, and a regular speaker on social media at regional conferences and forums.
