Poker players lucky enough to attend the partypoker WPT Prague Main Event are in for a real winter treat.  A spectacular city at any time of year Prague is at its very best when its beautiful buildings and winding streets are iced with snow. 

This year the World Poker Tour takes place at the Grandior Hotel between the 3rd December and the 7th December.  With its €3,300 buy in, this is for the serious poker player, but you could be playing for as little as one cent if you join and play the twenty-four hour satellites at partypoker.  These satellites feed into a weekly $530 satellite at which you could win a $5000 package, giving you your buy in plus some spending money.  Previous event winners have walked away with up to €450,000, but if you do luck out there’s a range of side event tournaments which you can enjoy. 

The Grandior Hotel, host to the event, is a modern hotel offering three hundred and ninety-three rooms and a restaurant, which features Czech and international cuisine.  Its extensive spa facilities also offer the tired poker player the chance to relax in a Czech beer spa, which allows for an ‘unlimited consumption of beer’.  It’s the kind of spa that could be difficult to leave.  The hotel itself is situated in the heart of ancient Prague, close to subway and tram stops.  Few cities have as much to offer in such a relatively small area.
