Virgin Voyages headed for Cuba in augural season
Virgin Voyages’ first ship, Scarlet Lady, will feature Cuba as one of her voyage destinations during her inaugural season in 2020. The decision to sail to Cuba was influenced by customer and travel partner research it conducted in North America and the United Kingdom.
Scarlet Lady to set sail for Virgin Voyages in 2020
The first Virgin Voyages vessel will be named Scarlet Lady. The news was revealed by Virgin Group founder Richard Branson during a ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa earlier.
Branson reveals Virgin Voyages cruise line
Richard Branson was in earlier to reveal Virgin Voyages as the new identity for Virgin’s cruise line. Joined by the company’s president and chief executive Tom McAlpin, they announced the name and shared that Virgin Voyages has officially signed a ship building contract for three vessels with Italian master shipbuilder Fincantieri. The company will become the first cruise line to adopt the clean energy system, Climeon Ocean.
