Thousands of sports fans and families were treated to a spectacular low-level flypast over the Sevens Stadium yesterday, in celebration of the 53rd UAE Eid Al Etihad. The flypast took place on the final day of the biggest and longest-running sports and entertainment festival in the Middle East – Emirates Dubai 7s.
SWISS extends its Green Fares to all its long-haul flights
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) and its sister airlines within the Lufthansa Group will be extending their present Green Fares to their entire route networks with effect from 4 December 2024. By opting for a Green Fare for their long-haul flight, SWISS customers will reduce the carbon emissions generated by their individual air travel by 10 per cent through the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The remaining 90 per cent of such emissions will be offset through a financial contribution to quality climate protection projects.

British Airways welcomes three new Italian routes to its network
British Airways has announced three new routes for summer 2025, bolstering its extensive network of Italian destinations. Launching in May 2025, British Airways will introduce new flights to Rimini (RMI) on the Adriatic Coast from London Heathrow, and Salerno (QSR) on the Amalfi Coast from London Gatwick. A new service from London City to Olbia (OLB) in Sardinia will complement existing flights from Heathrow.
