SIA ready for millionth A380 flyer

Singapore Airlines is expecting to fly its one millionth A380 customer in February 2009, less than four months after it celebrated its first anniversary of commercial services. Singapore Airlines was the first airline in the world to fly the Airbus A380 super-jumbo, the world’s largest passenger aircraft, when it began commercial services between Singapore and Sydney in October 2007.

 Singapore Airlines will introduce its new Airbus A330-300 regional aircraft on routes to Australian and Japanese cities, progressively from end March 2009. The first of 19 new A330-300s will be delivered to Singapore Airlines by Airbus in mid-January.
