Expedia selects architects for Seattle move
Expedia has selected architecture firm Bohlin Cywinski Jackson to design its new 40-acre waterfront campus in Seattle. Expedia plans to relocate to the new campus in the City of Seattle from its current location in downtown Bellevue by 2018. Expedia’s future campus is ideally situated at the north end of Seattle’s waterfront, which is in the midst of a billion dollar redevelopment and re-emergence as a world-class park, and located just minutes from downtown Seattle and along the Elliott Bay shoreline.
Sub Pop partners with Hotel Max in Seattle
Hotel Max, located at 620 Stewart Street in Downtown Seattle, has partnered with Sub Pop Records, the city’s influential record label, to upgrade the rooms on the fifth floor of the hotel. Furthermore, the hotel will support the Experience Music Project’s new ‘Women Who Rock’ exhibition, by offering a unique ‘I Love Rock n’ Roll’ getaway package.
Washington State delegation visits London
Port commissioner John Creighton has led a delegation of nine representatives from the Port of Seattle, Seattle’s Conventions & Visitors Bureau and private sector companies to London. The tourism industry in Washington State has pulled together to form an industry-led and industry-funded tourism promotion programme, separate from state government, called Washington Tourism Alliance.
