Abu Dhabi’s hosting this week of the Seatrade Middle East Cruise Forum will be a regional industry milestone if the public and private sector join together to seize the segment’s economic opportunities, delegates heard today. Speaking to the Forum, which has run for two days at the Rosewood Abu Dhabi, Mohammed Al Dhaheri, strategy and policy director Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, said the sector holds out huge growth potential if all stakeholders engage in discussions to identify the opportunities and challenges.

Seatrade: Abu Dhabi plans permanent cruise terminal
Abu Dhabi is moving closer to having a permanent cruise terminal at Mina Zayed, delegates at the Seatrade Middle East Cruise Forum heard today. Welcoming delegates to the Forum, which runs at the Rosewood Abu Dhabi hotel until Wednesday 11th December, His Excellency Mubarak Al Muhairi, director general, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, said a decision on the concept design is expected next year.
