Emirates launches new flights to Nigerian capital, Abuja
Emirates has now connected Abuja to its worldwide network, making the Nigerian capital the airline’s 26th destination in Africa and its 144th worldwide. Emirates flight EK785 landed at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport earlier, marking the start of the airline’s daily service to its second destination in Nigeria.
Ethiopian Airlines improves Nigeria connections with Kano flight
Ethiopian Airlines will launch four weekly flights to Kano, Nigeria, from May 24th, 2014. Located in the north of the country, Kano is the second largest city in Nigeria. Kano will be the fourth city in Nigeria served by Ethiopian Airlines, joining Ethiopian’s current service to Abuja, the capital of Nigeria; Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city; and Enugu.

Nigeria introduces tourist visa card
The International Coalition of Tourism Partners has sent a congratulatory message to their member destination Nigeria for introducing tourist visa card to ease the burden of tourists carrying cash while in Nigeria and a biometric registration system for the tourism industry workers. This follows a meeting at FITUR between Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, director general of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation and minister Alain St. Ange of the Seychelles.
Nigerian Tourism joins United States Tour Operators
The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, the official tourism organisation for Nigeria, has joined the United States Tour Operators Association as an associate member. This membership makes Nigeria the first and only west African country to be accepted into USTOA.
