The Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, Mr. Alain St.Ange, used the International French Travel Market in Paris last week to meet with Mr. Pascal Viroleau, the Head of the IRT (Ile Reunion Tourisme), to discuss the strengthening of the working partnerships within the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands Regional Organization.
The Prefet de La Reunion, Mr. Michel Lalande, and Alain St.Ange, the Minister for Tourism and Culture, used the opportunity of an airport meeting to discuss tourism and air access. The Prefet, Mr. Michel Lalande, was departing Seychelles after his working visit to the islands, which included a meeting with President James Michel.
The recent promotional drive by Seychelles in the neighboring island of La Reunion was to reconfirm the participation of the island in the carnival of carnivals” that is held in the Seychelles annually in the month of March.
Didier Robert, the President de la region La Reunion, and Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, and their marketing teams, took time last Sunday to look at the natural beauty of the Seychelles as seen from the sea to discuss twin destinations options that will see the spectacular mountains of La Reunion and the turquoise blue seas of the Seychelles promoted in a new package to the discerning visitors looking at the Indian Ocean islands or the Vanilla Islands.
