As the brand expands its presence in the Middle East with its latest opening at Dubai International Airport, Breaking Travel News chats with Jean de Thé, group director, InterRent, about its ambition to bring low-cost mobility solutions to the Middle East.
InterRent, the low-cost brand of Europcar Group, the European leader in vehicle rental services and a major mobility player, has announced the opening of its 150th station, at Sardinia’s Alghero Airport. InterRent is currently present in 40 different countries, mainly in airports and tourism areas.
InterRent has revealed a planned acceleration of its international expansion, with a goal of having operations in 40 countries by the end of 2015. Europcar’s low-cost brand is already successfully operating in over 27 countries just two years after its creation. InterRent, designed in 2013 as the low-cost complementary offer to the Europcar core brand, has now been successfully launched in over 27 countries on four continents, with 119 stations in main airports and train stations, and an average fleet of 4,800 vehicles in 2014.

With locations at key UK airports including Gatwick, Birmingham and Glasgow as well as at airports and railways stations in France, Portugal, Spain and Germany, InterRent makes car hire eminently affordable for holidaymakers.
Europcar has unveiled InterRent, its new low-cost car rental brand for leisure customers. First implemented in France, Germany, Portugal, Spain and the UK, InterRent is to be expanded over the coming years encompassing the franchise network.
