Park Hae-jin to open Madame Tussauds Hong Kong
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is set to launch the first-ever wax figure of Korean actor Park Hae-jin this March. Park Hae-jin himself is also planned to unveil his figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
Southern District of Hong Kong to be linked to MTR railway
Commuters travelling to the Southern District of Hong Kong Island will be able to enjoy the MTR railway service from December 28th. With green lights received from relevant authorities that all of the required statutory inspections and tests having been successfully completed, the MTR Corporation announced the Fully Automatic Operation train service of the MTR South Island Line will begin at the end of the month.

Rosewood Hong Kong on track for 2018 opening
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will open the ultra-luxury brand’s first Hong Kong property in 2018 in a prime Victoria Harbour waterfront location at the former New World Centre on Salisbury Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. Rosewood Hong Kong will occupy 27 floors of a multi-use tower owned by New World Development Company, whose distinct form and glowing crown is destined to become an instantly recognizable landmark on the famous skyline.
Finnair adds Asia capacity with new departures to Tokyo and Hong Kong
Finnair continues to grow its Asian traffic, and has announced it will add capacity and frequencies to the Tokyo and Hong Kong routes with the A350 for the summer 2017 season. Finnair will increase its current flight schedule between Helsinki and Tokyo with four additional weekly flights to Narita airport. Finnair currently operates daily to Narita with the A330.
Cathay Pacific launches direct Hong Kong flight from London Gatwick
Cathay Pacific Airways today saw its first flight take off from London Gatwick to Hong Kong. The only non-stop service connecting Gatwick and Hong Kong, it will also be Cathay Pacific’s first long-haul route in the UK to feature the brand new Airbus 350-900 aircraft. Ideally placed to serve both leisure and business travellers, the new four-times weekly service will operate from Gatwick’s South Terminal.

International hospitality provider ONYX Hospitality Group has announced a new management agreement for a project in Hong Kong, paving the way for the first Mosaic Collection property in this dynamic city. Hong Kong airport boosts capacity as Midfield Concourse opens on time
Hong Kong International Airport’s HK$10-billion Midfield Concourse, as well as its auxiliary facilities including the aviation fuel supply system and the Automated People Mover connecting Terminal 1 and the MFC, has been completed on schedule. Construction of the 105,000-square-metre five-storey new concourse began in 2011.
Cathay Pacific to launch Gatwick-Hong Kong route in 2016
Cathay Pacific Airways has announced that it will launch a new four-times-weekly service from London’s Gatwick Airport and Hong Kong on September 2nd, 2016. Subject to government approval, Cathay will be the only airline that flies non-stop between Gatwick and Hong Kong.
