Hilton Worldwide has announced the opening of the new-build 207-room Hilton Lima Miraflores – the company’s first managed hotel in Peru and the flagship brand’s first Hilton Hotels & Resorts hotel in the country. “The opening of Hilton Lima Miraflores is a significant milestone in our rapid expansion across Latin America,” said Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts.

Hilton Worldwide announced plans to introduce two new brands to the French market with the dual-branded Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton Val d’Europe on the doorstep of Disneyland Paris. The opening of what will become the company’s first dual-branded property in France, and the first dual-branded Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton for Europe, is scheduled for 2015.

Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) announced the start of construction of its newest resort, Hokulani Waikiki by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, an upscale urban timeshare resort in world-famous Waikiki.

Hilton Worldwide announced a new mattress recycling program in coordination with the installation of new Serta mattresses and box springs. Available immediately across all brands in the U.S, the program will recycle approximately 85 percent of our hotels’ mattresses and box springs into various products rather than being diverted to a landfill.

Hilton Worldwide has signed an agreement with SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts to build one new hotel and rebrand two additional hotels,  including the first Home2 Suites by Hilton in Canada.
