Hilton Worldwide’s expanding presence in South Eastern Europe will see it enter Macedonia with the signing of a franchise agreement with Ajdovan Ademoski to open the upscale DoubleTree by Hilton Skopje.  The hotel is expected to open in early 2016 and joins further properties under development in the region in Croatia and Montenegro.

Hilton London Islington today announced the £5.2 million refurbishment of its guest rooms, to be completed June 2013, with the addition of seven new bedrooms, bringing the total number to 191. Hilton Worldwide has revealed the extent of its growth across Middle East and Africa with the unveiling of figures showing a 440 per cent increase to its pipeline from 2007 to present day. Reinforcing the company’s position as the pre-eminent international hospitality company in the region, the data sets out the company’s pipeline expansion in 2007 from 13 hotels with 3,570 rooms to today’s figure of nearly 60 properties, representing nearly 20,000 rooms which are now in development across MEA.
