Gogo licensed to provide in-air connectivity over Canada
Gogo has announced Industry Canada has issued a subordinate license for air-to-ground radio frequency spectrum, allowing the in-flight connectivity provider to serve passengers on commercial aircraft flying over the country with wi-fi services. The Canadian network will operate on the same frequency as Gogo’s existing ATG network in the continental United States, which will allow Gogo to provide seamless service within Canada and on cross-border flights between the United States and Canada.
Gogo offers free access to eBay on Delta and Virgin America
Gogo, a leader of in-flight connectivity and a pioneer in wireless in-flight digital entertainment solutions, announced today that passengers who fly on all Gogo equipped planes on Delta Air Lines and Virgin America will now enjoy free access to eBay.
Gogo prepares to sink or swim with IPO
Inflight connectivity provider Gogo has announced it has filed papers for a $100 million initial public offering. Using Gogo networks passengers with laptops and other Wi-Fi enabled devices can get online on all domestic AirTran Airways, Virgin America and Alaska Airlines flights, on all domestic mainline Delta Air Lines flights and on select Air Canada, American Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, and Frontier Airlines flights.
