Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has unveiled a new 98-night around the world adventure, setting sail from Southampton in January 2027. Guests aboard Borealis can look forward to a four-day stay in Hawaii, and visits to five Japanese ports, where calls have been carefully timed to avoid the peak tourist season and to coincide with the beauty of the late plum blossom.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has joined forces with television presenter Nick Knowles on a new YouTube collaboration, offering viewers a rare insight into the work of a busy dry dock programme. The cruise line’s smallest ship, Balmoral, entered the shipyard at A&P Falmouth on 1st December for a two-week programme of maintenance, including a complete refurbishment and rebrand of the ship’s buffet restaurant, removal and reapplication of anti-fouling paint to the hull to reduce fuel consumption, a technical refurbishment of The Neptune Lounge theatre, and installation of a new propeller.

One of Britain’s most loved television presenters will be joining guests on board two Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines sailings. Michaela Strachan, a regular face on TV screens for the past three decades, will be spending six days on board Bolette for the ‘Scenic Autumnal Norwegian Fjords’ cruise in September.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is offering teachers a free champagne traditional afternoon tea for two on sailings in July and August to coincide with the summer holidays. Traditionally, booking holidays during the school breaks can be an expensive challenge for those working in the education sector.
