Bahrain out of hosting F1 as unrest continues
Bahrain has been forced to withdraw from hosting the opening round of the 2011 Formula 1 season as civil unrest continues to sweep the country. Hundreds of protestors continue to occupy Pearl Square in the centre of the capital Manama demanding elections to end the rule of the despised Al Khalifa family.

The Federation Internationale de l’Automobile has given the go-ahead for South Korea’s first Formula One Grand Prix following doubts over preparations for the event. Formula One race director Charlie Whiting granted approval for the race to take place later this month following a last minute track inspection.
