Flight Centre Travel Group has overhauled its ground transport booking services for clients of its business travel divisions, FCM Travel Solutions and Corporate Traveller, with the launch of Amadeus’ transfers content.

FCM Travel Solutions is continuing to expand its footprint after signing partnership agreements with GoFly in Algeria and Travel Club Travel & Tourism in Kuwait. In addition, Ciarán Kelly has been promoted to managing director, United Arab Emirates, at FCM’s parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group.

FCM Travel Solutions has announced that it is enhancing its artificial intelligence pocket travel assistant application, Sam, with extra features for use by travel managers. This is in response to client demand for greater visibility of their travellers in-trip and dovetails with the global travel management company’s FCM Connect technology strategy to meet the needs of managers, bookers and travellers.

FCM Travel Solutions’ Middle East & Africa region has experienced major growth over the last 12 months winning new business at local and regional level with a value of US$75 million.

Flight Centre Travel Group, including its flagship global corporate travel division FCM Travel Solutions, has reached a multi-year agreement with British Airways and Iberia meaning customers in the UK and Ireland will be exempt from the airlines’ new £8 surcharge per fare component on GDS bookings.

Billy McDonough has been named FCM Travel Solutions president for the Americas, effective immediately. This new role comes after measured and noteworthy success during his tenure as the FCM USA brand leader.
