Eurostar, the provider of high-speed, carbon neutral rail journeys between the UK and the Continent, today announced that it now offers fares from more than 200 towns and cities across Britain for high-speed rail travel to the continent.

The survey* - which identifies the UK’s strongest consumer brands - is drawn up by the Centre for Brand Analysis. This year, Eurostar was placed 52nd in the top 500 Superbrands (up from 67th last year), making it the top train brand in the UK.

Strong leisure ticket sales have failed to halt Eurostar sales falling 7 percent in the first six months of 2009.

Eurostar, the high-speed provider of carbon neutral rail journeys between the UK and the continent, is starting its weekly direct service on Saturday 11 July to Avignon, in the heart of the Provence region of southern France. It will be the eight successive year Eurostar will be running the service which takes less than six hours from London St Pancras International (and less than five and a half hours from Ashford International). Tickets are available from £99 return in standard class and £249 in Leisure Select.
