Etihad’s A380 set to Dawn in the Land of the Rising Sun
Etihad Airways has announced it will fly its A380 to Narita, Tokyo for Summer 2026. The renowned double-decker will begin operating between Zayed Abu Dhabi International (AUH) and Narita International (NRT) on 16 June 2026, in time for the busy summer travel season. The world’s only three-room suite in the sky, delivering Etihad’s legendary flying experience, is on its way to Japan.
Etihad Reports July 2025 Traffic Statistics
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has released its traffic statistics for July 2025, reporting continued growth in passenger volumes and network expansion. In July, Etihad carried 2.0 million passengers, a 19 per cent increase compared to July 2024, when the airline flew 1.7 million guests. The passenger load factor rose to 90 per cent, up from 89 per cent in the same month last year, reflecting strong demand and efficient capacity management.

Etihad publishes 2023 environment report
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has published its annual environment report, detailing the company’s commitment and its progress towards its environmental goals. In 2023, the airline achieved a 45.3% improvement in passenger carbon intensity compared to its 2019 baseline. This resulted in a carbon intensity of 475 grams of CO₂ per Revenue Tonne Kilometer (RTK) for passengers. Etihad’s strategy aims to reduce emissions through industry-specific actions, adhere to voluntary roadmaps and frameworks, collaborate with UAE’s industrial partners, maintain transparency and proactivity on environmental issues, and continuously update its strategic targets.
