United Continental Holdings (NYSE: UAL) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiaries United Airlines and Continental Airlines signed a new multi-year agreement with Travelocity that enables customers to continue to purchase tickets through Travelocity’s online booking sites, including Travelocity.com, Travelocity Business, Travelocity Partner Network and Travelocity.ca.
United Airlines has launched a new daily nonstop service between Los Angeles International Airport and Hilo, Hawaii. In addition, United will begin once-weekly nonstop service to Hilo from its San Francisco hub.
Continental Airlines has signed a codeshare agreement with Lot Polish Airlines designed to improve services between select destinations in the United States and Europe. Already both Star Alliance members, the focus on of the deal will be on flights between New York, Warsaw, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London.

Continental Airlines has signed a deal with inflight entertainment provider LiveTV to offer wi-fi to passengers via Ka-band beginning next year. Continental Airlines has inaugurated non-stop flights between its New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. Continental Airlines has introduced FareLock, an option that offers customers the opportunity to hold reservations and lock-in ticket prices for 72 hours or seven days with no commitment to purchase a ticket. The new feature, offered for a fee on certain domestic and international itineraries, gives customers additional flexibility to plan their travels and avoid the risk of price increases or sold-out flights.
