Jamaica House comes to Glasgow for Commonwealth Games
Jamaica promises to bring its own unique vibrant and colourful brand of celebration and fanfare to the sporting calendar this summer. The Jamaica Tourist Board announced today that the Jamaica House Glasgow will open its doors, this time during the 2014 Commonwealth Games, taking place July 23rd-August 3rd, 2014.

Krishna Poonia has ended a 52-year-old Commonwealth Games athletics gold medal drought for host nation India, claiming the women’s discus title. Becoming the first woman to win a Commonwealth Games gold for her country in the athletics arena, Poonia took the title with a throw of 61.51 metres.
