Le Shuttle Freight transports millionth truck of 2016
Le Shuttle Freight transported its millionth truck for the year, almost one month ahead of the same milestone in 2015. Since November 2015, Truck Shuttles have set new records month-on-month against the same periods in previous years.

Eurotunnel train power failure causes Channel Tunnel delays
Long delays are being seen in the Channel Tunnel after a Eurotunnel train suffered a power failure. Hundreds of passengers were evacuated from the train from the France-bound train earlier this morning after it lost power about a quarter of the way through the tunnel.
Queen unveils commemorative plaque at St Pancras International
Her Majesty the Queen, accompanied by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, has unveiled a plaque at St Pancras International station to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Channel Tunnel and the launch of international high speed rail services between the UK and mainland Europe. The unveiling of the plaque preceded the state visit of the Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh to France at the invitation of the president of France, Françoise Hollande.

Olympic Torch Relay at the Channel Tunnel
On July 18 2012, just a few days before the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Olympic Torch Relay will arrive at the Channel Tunnel Terminal in Folkestone and will travel through the 9 km section of the Tunnel between Folkestone and Samphire Hoe at the foot of Shakespeare Cliff.
